Many of our furriends have gone to the Rainbow Bridge dis year and is furry heartbreaking and sad... our beloved Keiko included. We want to post dis poem fur everyone in their honor
By the edge of the woods, at the foot of a hill
Is a lush green meadow, where time stands still
Where the friends of man and woman do run
When their time on earth is over and done.
For here, between this world and the next
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest
On this golden land, they wait and they play
Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day
No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed
Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued
They romp through the grass, without a care
Until one they they start, and sniff at the air.
Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack
For just and instance their eyes have met;
Together again, both person and pet.
So they run to each other, these friends from long past
The time of their parting is over at last
The sadness they felt while they were apart,
Has turned into joy once more in each heart
They embrace with a love that will last forever
And them, side by side, they cross over... together.
Is a lush green meadow, where time stands still
Where the friends of man and woman do run
When their time on earth is over and done.
For here, between this world and the next
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest
On this golden land, they wait and they play

That is a lovely tribute to all the friends we have lost this year.
ReplyDeleteVery very nice! Along w/our beloved buddy Keiko we too lost some special furriends this year, we ARE thankful though that for the first year NO ONE in our family lost a pet...we lost 5 in a row & 4 @Thanksgiving. Soooo comforting though to know we will meet them AGAIN!!!
ReplyDeleteA lovely tribute!
ReplyDeleteWe lost our Molly in September, she was almost 19, a good long life but it was still very difficult.
We have not visited your blog since you got Zulu, it is so nice to see how much they love each other now :-)
We are still so sad over Keiko. It was such a rough year, especially with Keiko, Inigo, and Sniffie all going in such a short period of time! Our wish for the new year is that the gates to the RB stay shut for a long time. All the best for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tribute. We lost some very special kitties on the CB this year, but we'll always remember them in our hearts.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely tribute. We are sad to have had so many friends leave us in this past year.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful tribute my friends.
ReplyDeleteThat sure was a very beautiful tribute!
ReplyDeleteYes, there was a lot of sadness this year. We lost our Crystal so we understand how you and the others feel. He brought so much joy into our lives, just as Keiko brought to you.
